When I Think of Research...

My research simulation is about the positive impact of child-centered education approaches applied in early childhood education on children's social, emotional, mental, language, and cognitive development. This is important in the early childhood education field, as many schools use a child-centered curriculum. Most parents also prefer this kind of education.

I think that a quality, well-prepared early childhood education has a strong effect on children's development and learning. I can see in my literature reviews that there are severe studies on this subject. Many international studies reveal that child-centered early childhood education and care are beneficial for developing language, reading, mathematics, and socio-emotional skills that form the basis for later school success. These data indicate that practices that will support children's development and learning are directly related to qualified early childhood education.

Everyone interested in education (children, families, educators, policymakers, and early childhood education administrators) will have access to information that will benefit if I can make and implement my simulation proposal. With concrete evidence of my hypothesis, it can make a difference in the way we run our education system.

During this course, my perspective on an early childhood educator has changed drastically. Because I thought of myself as an educator, but on the contrary, we are not only an educator but also a researcher. We research teaching method techniques and conduct various research to improve our presentation, course, and even professional development. It is very grateful to develop new strategies to ensure that children receive the best possible education.

  1. Hi Behice,

I believe that a high quality early childhood education is very beneficial as well and one of my thoughts have been is what if the laws change where all providers especially those who accept child care assistance have to be a high quality center that is either on a star level program or accredited program. I believe that could be a start.

I really enjoyed reading you post! Best wishes on your next course!

  2. Behice,

The center where I work is switching to the child-center education approach. I see it being done differently in each class. I think the teachers should have received training on this before having to do it in class. The benefits of this approach is amazing and beneficial for children.

Also you are much more than just and educator and research. The role of an educator expands across many domains.
