MY SUPPORTS

I have many supporters in my life, and they continue to support me. I am very grateful for these. Sometimes this can be a person, sometimes an image, sometimes a hope that I feel inside. My most significant support is the family that raised and educated me, and my husband and my children. Without these people, I would not be the one I am today. My husband, who is always with me and my supporter, was so much support when starting this training that I cannot pay this support financially and morally. The most important things that connect my children to life, the hope in my future, allows me to start living more tightly and do something for them. Especially when we began to live in a foreign country, our relationship with the family communication we established has become stronger. Every day after dinner, with a cup of hot drink, our bond grows stronger when we evaluate the day and talk about our feelings, th...

My Connections to Play

“Children need the freedom and time to play. Play is not a luxury. Play is a necessity.”                                   Kay Redfield Jamison                Contemporary American professor of psychiatry “It is in playing, and only in playing, that the individual child or adult is able to be creative and to use the whole personality, and it is only in being creative that the individual discovers the self.”                                                                      D.W. Reflecting on Building Relationships Family, relatives, business relationships are essential to me, thanks to these relationships, they help me to survive difficult times or to enjoy my good moments. It is important to me that I have people that I can trust both in good and bad times. The most crucial positive relationship I have is my husband.  It is a source of motivation, thank goodness, and power for me to see him wake up as health every day after his health problems. I always got rid of the loneliness and anxiety I felt here, with his support. He has always supported me to do something for myself (learning languages, starting school, participating in working life) since we moved here to prepare a better future for our children. Even if some things are difficult, we both resist strongly and insistently for the future of our children and our dreams of after retirement, one for the teen and the other for nine years old children. On some days we need to work harder for the na...

I would like to sincerely thank Dr. Ortega and all my classmates who read my blog during this course and commented on it. I have had pleased to read my colleague's posts and comments. Thank you so much.             The early childhood period is in the magic and miraculous  years of human life. The media is quoted from  https://bornready.org/
Why Assessment is Important?           "Intelligence is an ability to learn and understand various aspects of life traditionally focused on reading and math, and more recently on the arts, movement, and social interactions”( Berger, 2018). "Assessment of children should always be from a holistic viewpoint. Research has shown that human development is dynamic and multidisciplinary" (Berger, 2018). Early childhood education is a process that directly and affects multidirectional the intelligence of the child, and it is necessary to pay particular attention to this period. The preschool period is essential in terms of determining the intelligence of children and shedding light on our guidance in line with their talents and interests. “Two leading researchers (Robert Sternberg and Howard Gardner) are among those who believe that humans have multiple intelligences, not just one” ( Berger, 2018). “Gardner originally described seven intelligences: linguistic, logical...
Child & Poverty                    The risk of encountering absolute poverty and its adverse effects is higher for children than adults. The basic needs like nutrition, health, and education can not be provided due to the harmful effects of growth in poverty. Usually, the poverty in the period of childhood results in poverty in adulthood.           I am the second child of a family within six children. My father was a teacher, that is, a civil servant in the small village. He had regular income every month, but everything was too expensive. Although he had difficulties to effort to provıde lıvelıhoos his family, I remember peace of having enough food and a house to be protected. When I was a little girl, I remembered as a child, my friends around me were poverty. I remember my parents sometimes sharing lunch with the kids. The times when my mother made soup for children on cold and snowy days, and she sha...

Breastfeeding        The bond between the mother and the baby that foundations of which are produced during pregnancy takes on a different dimension with the start of the breastfeeding process. While breastfeeding helps the mother and baby connect more, it helps to strengthen the bond and trust between them. For these reasons, I wanted to choose to breastfeed. I breastfed my two children for the time required for them. When my older son gave up sucking in the 3rd month, I fed him in his sleep and used him to feeding back from the breast. This struggle lasted for 3-4 months; it was the best for him, and he sucked two years. Then, It took quite a long time for her to give up on the breast. Many medical experts, including the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American College of Obstetricians an...
